Adventures with the Boyd's

Kelly and Steve are some pretty cool cats that we hang out with!  Here are some of our fun times!

At the beginning of this semester Drew brought up his golf clubs and was itching to go hit some balls and Steve got a great deal on some clubs.  So we went to the local driving range after school one day for some fun!

Drew and Steve did really good, as for Kelly and I, well we had fun but I don't think either of us are going to start this as a new hobby anytime soon!

Another Day we went for some ice cream and when we came out we saw this truck and Drew fell in love :P  Funny cause the next week when we went to Yellowstone we saw it on the drive there!

Last week was on Saturday it was free National Park Day, so we went off to Yellowstone!  It was Steve's first time and he was good luck! As soon as we got into the park we saw sooo many animals!!

So Old Faithful, was not very faithful this day!  It was suppose to go off at 10:15 and we waited with many others for almost an hour! It was worth it though!

All Steve wanted to see were some Moose! And here they were!

And finally a mountain goat!! This is the animal Kelly wanted to see.

The only bad part was that Drew wanted to see a bear, but to no luck! He was pretty upset :P

The Arnold's Go To Washington! (Plus a Barney)

So my uncle is retiring from the military after 20+ years in the Army!  Him and his family are such a great example of sacrifice and service!! Believe me they ALL served in a different way!

The only bad thing was that Drew could not come with us :(  This was the first time we have ever been apart and it was for a WHOLE WEEK!  We made it through :)

We started our trip by venturing in the metro!

Then we were off to the Pentagon and Arlington National Cemetery.  Since my uncle worked in the pentagon, we were able to get a private tour! There are no pictures allowed in the Pentagon, but the boys were able to get their haircut!! Once in a lifetime opportunity, I think yes!

The Next day we were on our own and we went to Mount Vernon and ventured around the capital!

Our First Camping Trip!

So Drew, myself and a couple of our married friends went camping!  It was super fun and it was my first time camping in the wilderness!  There were no bathrooms or anything!

Later that night we went SQUATCH hunting!  Had a few close calls and heard some 'interesting' noises, but no spotting this night! Overall it was a great trip and I am officially converted to the camping way :)

So Drew and I were on a bike ride and we saw a cat, so OF COURSE we had to catch it!  And we saw that it belonged to the Rexburg Animal Shelter.

So, we called and brought the kitty back to the shelter :)  Would I say that we are heroes? No, but you can :P Hehehe!

Our Fun Weekend!! 3/20-3/22/12

Drew and I had a particularly fun and packed weekend a couple of weeks ago and I thought that I would share it with all of you!!  It started with our date night on Friday :)  I planned an indoor golf course with homemade pizza and then off to the Drive-in movie theater!

Then, it was off to the drive-in!  We get to watch two movies for the price of one!! We saw Mirror Mirror and the Hunger Games! Both were good movies, but Drew fell asleep during the Hunger Games.

Ok so half way through the Hunger Games I saw what I thought were owls flying over the screen! Then, all the sudden there was a HUGE flying thing over the screen! I freaked out!! Drew was asleep and for some reason my thoughts went straight to 'there's a Night Fury!!!' like from the movie How To Train Your Dragon.  Now, you have to remember that it was very late and I obviously wasn't thinking correctly.  But, after about 5 more 'night fury's' flew by I realized that they were night hang gliders! :)

On to Saturday!!  Drew and I had a GREAT day!!! We biked for about 6 hours that day!! It was super fun :)  We went everywhere in Rexburg!!  I learned that I loved biking!! And I received a scholarship for school!!

So I love pinwheels!! And we found some shaped like tulips(also love!) so we each got one, I got blue and drew got yellow! We stuck them in our bicycle handles :) They spin while we ride! Hehe love them!!
