4th of July!

Yay it's 4th of July again! I love this holiday!! I am very Patriotic person and this is one of the only days where I can be as Patriotic as I want and everyone thinks it's normal!  I also love the fact that this is the one day that everyone in the USA color coordinates their outfits to the American Flag :)

I think it is great! 

I made this Flag cake to celebrate! 

First on our packed 4th of July Agenda was the Rexburg Parade! So we got up at 9 am and were out of the house by 10, so we could watch the parade!  It was wonderful! Tons of candy was throw out and even the ice cream shops tossed out little cups of ice cream!! I love small towns!

After the parade and sunburn it was off to the BYU-Idaho carnival for some old roomie fun!

The best part was all the food was ridiculously cheap!!

After the BYU-I carnival we went down to Porter Park in Rexburg for the fair.  It was cute just more geared towards young children, so not much for Drew and I to do there.

So, it was off to Idaho Falls for the fair and biking!  Kelly and Steve had a booth from school set up there and it was cool to see what they were selling!

What is 4th of July without funnel cake?!

It was sooo hot! That after Idaho Falls we wanted to go swimming so we went down to a local swimming hole called Monkey Rock! It was soo refreshing!

After some great swimming time it was time to go home and get cleaned up for fireworks!!

We watched the fair works from the temple grounds! It was great, we ate and just had fun watching the surrounding cities fireworks!

Hillbilly Holiday!

Drew and I had a GREAT and packed weekend!  It was just awesome!  We started the weekend as soon as Drew got home from school and the fun didn't stop till Saturday night!
On Friday it was off to Beaver Dick Park for some camping and fishing!  It is only about 5 minutes outside of Rexburg and it is right next to a fishing river!  Our friends Steve and Kelly came along and I am soooo glad! It was a super fun time as usual with this great couple!
I got Drew a fishing pole and tackle box for Father's Day(or as we call it spouse appreciation day) so it was about time we got to try it out!

When Kelly and Steve got there they brought this surprise, WORMS!! But they were the ticket to catching fish!

So when we first headed off to go fishing we wanted to find somewhere quiet that the fish were biting, but we ended up in this muddy swamp thing! We were sinking every step we took!

 an hour and couple not catch anything! Then Kelly

 grabbed hold of a pole and she caught a fish in about

 2 minutes! She ended up catching the most, about 7!

While we were fishing we looked up and saw these 3 Deer!! Only in Idaho!

We had all sort of fire going with our Tiki torches! We had some good food for dinner! Grilled chicken sandwiches and corn on the cob! Yum!

Once it got dark we started some real fun! Kelly bought these super bright glow sticks! You could see us from a mile away :)  Steve got a special glow stick with an ax attached, but his was super tiny!

We also wanted to set off one of our fireworks! Getting excited for 4th of July!

It was a lot bigger than we all thought!! Super sparkly!!

The next morning we were up early for fishing! Breakfast was delicious, french toast!!

After we came home from camping we got a quick shower we were off again to Ririe Lake/Dam!  We carpooled with about 4 other cars and had about 15 people.  

Super fun, but we had no idea what we were in for! We thought there would be a beach, nope!
