The Home and Gun Expo!

So after New Year's Ever Drew and I had a couple days off so we went down to Utah to see my family and get out of Rexburg.  While we were there the Home and Gun Expo was in town, so of course the whole bunch packed in a couple cars and went down there!

Here we go!!

Baby James, just being cute!!

Ty Pennington was there!!

A 'kid' group picture, mom and dad got caught up with tile or something :P

The 'no exercise' body shaker!
Of course Drew and Andy had to try!

More Baby James!! And on the left it's James with the Marine Bulldog!
After the Home Expo we switched sides and went to the Gun Expo, but the boys were embarrassed by me and would not let me take any pictures :P  Silly boys!! We had lots of fun though!

New Years Eve 2013

This New Years Eve was a fun a relaxing night with my hubby!
We started our night at Olive Garden for some dinner, but it was sort of crazy!  We waited for about 45 minutes to be seated because it was so busy, but the food was great so it was all worth it!
Then, we went home and got ready for our night in :)
We spent part of the night cleaning out our closet to give to D.I.
All those clothes!!

We decided to watch the movie New Year's Eve, it seemed fitting!

Popcorn and Martinelli's to top off the night!

Merry Christmas!

This Christmas season has been amazing!  Drew and I have been so blessed with such wonderful family and friends in our lives and this holiday season reminds us how blessed we truly are!

I started off the season by making an 'Ugly Christmas Sweater'!  In one of my classes we decided to have an ugly Christmas sweater day and I searched EVERYWHERE!! I could find no ugly sweater at any thrift stores or the DI!! And I did not want to spend $30 to buy one from Old Navy, sooo I decided to make one :)

It ended up being an Ugly Christmas Vest!  I took one of Drew's vests and just winged it from there!
I was pretty proud of myself!

This was our Christmas Card!! I love it!!

During this season I went down to visit my family (well mostly baby James!)  And we went to the Christmas lights display at Thanksgiving Point!  It was fun :)

Such fun interactive lights!!

I loved the fact that they had a dinosaur :)

This was Jessica's Birthday breakfast :)
Aww my little goose(that's what I call James)!!

Drew and I did Christmas Eve and Day in Rexburg by ourselves.  It was nice to have a relaxing morning and opening presents together!! These were our Christmas Eve pajamas!

A couple of days after Christmas Drew and I went down to Utah to visit my family and celebrate a mini-Christmas :)  We were only down there for less than 24 hours, but it was great to see everyone!

Present opening time!! Gotta love Christmas presents!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas season :)

AAAaargggg! It's Drew's 24th Birthday!

Drew is 24!!! And we celebrated in a very Drew-like fashion, PIRATE Party!!
Since, Drew has been working so hard at JCPenny the only time off he had around his birthday was the 17th, so we did a Birthday Breakfast Party!

Welcome, I mean aaarrgggg!

This is my best attempt at a pirate ship cake :P

Some of the decorations!

The Birthday Pirate Captain :)

Some great friends!! They really got into the pirate theme :)

Happy Birthday to Drew!!

Time for the Treasure Chest Piñata!
It was freezing outside!!

Oh boys with a bat and something to hit :P

Kenny's turn!

After the string handle broke, it was time for a different approach!
The classic piñata turned into a baseball game :P

Drew had the breaking hit!! Candy and goodies went everywhere!!

Me with my Pirate Captain :)

After the party Drew and Steve went out shooting with his new gun :)

For Drew's actual birthday we celebrated with dinner at Texas Road House!  It was delicious and our friends Kenny and Natasia were our servers, which was so great!!

Birthday Boy!!

Cutting down our 1st Christmas tree!

It's Christmas time again!!  That means its time to decorate and get into the spirit of the season!
And what better way to start decorating by getting a Christmas tree!

So I may be a bit naive, but when Drew and I decided to go into the wilderness and cut down our own tree, I sort of thought it would be like walking into a field or flat plain.  Oooh how I was sooo wrong!!
I had to hike up a mountain!! I guess it makes sense, but I was not prepared for this hike up a steep snow covered mountain and then back down it with a 7 foot tree!!  It was so worth it though! I love our tree and the spirit it brings into our home :)

Our permit!! Only $10!!!
Much better than a $50 or $60 tree from a lot!

Our pick! The best one on the mountain :)
Believe me, I hiked the whole thing!

Yay!!

My hubby cutting down our tree!

This is how we measured our tree!  We knew we wanted it only a little taller than Drew, so he got to lay down for a little break while I measured :)

I love our tree!!

My strong husband carrying our tree down the whole mountain by himself!!
All i had to do was carry the flash light and the saw, and I still fell down 3 times :P

On top of the car :)

Finally in the house! Now it is time to decorate!! My favorite part :)

The lights! It took forever because one of the strands went out after we finished, so we had to start all over :P

And now the ornaments :)

The finished product!!  After we were all done we watched National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, while eating dinner :)
It was such a fun and wonderful experience!!
